Where you would sleep
Each one sits on its own among the trees, out of sight of the others. Two are for families; three are just for two.
Family Safari Tent · Sleeps 4
Under canvas and nothing like roughing it. Two adults and two children aged eight and over, with proper beds, cool linen sheets, rugs underfoot, wool blankets and a wood-burning stove for cooler evenings. A deep veranda for breakfast, and the trees close enough to touch.

Our second family tent, named for the stream that runs below it. Same four beds, same stove and blankets, its own veranda with an outdoor kitchen and a long table for eating late. The children will be in the water before you have unpacked.
Woodland Chalet · For two
A chalet among the firs, for two. A deep bed, a warm stove, soft light and everything within reach. Planned to have its own private Nordic bath outside the door.
Safari Retreat · For two
Named for the clearing it sits in: open grass, sunlight through the branches and the woods all around. For two, with its own veranda and a private Nordic bath planned alongside it.
Secluded Safari Retreat · For two
The most hidden of them all, and the one we would choose ourselves. Tucked away where nobody passes, for two people who want the door shut and the phone face down. A private Nordic bath is planned here too.
A note on what is built and what is planned
Domaine Chez Gilbert opens in April 2027 and we are still working on it. The private Nordic baths and the sauna are planned, not yet installed, and some of the pictures on this site show our design direction rather than a finished room. We will replace every one of them with photographs of the real thing as the work is done — and we would rather tell you that plainly than have you arrive surprised.
